100 Belarusian large-capacity electrobuses delivered to St. Petersburg

17/02/2026 10:02
A batch of 100 Belarusian large-capacity electrobuses has been delivered to the Russian city of St. Petersburg, BelTA learned from the Committee for Industrial Policy, Innovations, and Trade of St. Petersburg.

According to the source, the delivery of 100 large-capacity electrobuses of the MAZ 303E23 class to Russia’s northern capital has been completed. It is the largest batch of mass-produced vehicles with overnight charging to be delivered to the Russian Federation. The main peculiarity of the electrobuses is that all components are manufactured in the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus.

The project has been completed in a record time: slightly more than one year. The electrobuses are fitted with an energy-efficient battery with a driving range of at least 240km, which eliminates the need for daytime recharging. A unique set of features has been developed for St. Petersburg. It includes a public transport priority system, a driver control camera with vibration feedback, and integrated services for payment, navigation, and for informing passengers.
