Belarus’ national budget 2024 bill passed the second reading at a sitting of the tenth session of the House of Representatives of the seventh convocation, BelTA has learned.
The budget policy in 2024 will be aimed at ensuring the balance of the national and local budgets within the limits of available revenues and sources of financing of the budget deficit, maintaining the social orientation of expenditures, including through the measures to improve the quality of life of people and the well-being of public sector employees and to support large families.
Budget funds will be concentrated on the areas that will ensure the achievement of the strategic goals of the country's social and economic development, fulfillment of all public debt obligations, taking into account the mechanisms for interaction with unfriendly countries that are already in place.
The bill was sent for consideration to the standing commissions of the House of Representatives and the Main Legal Department of the Secretariat of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus and was also discussed at an enlarged meeting of the standing commission and at a meeting with the prime minister and members of the government.
