MINSK, 19 February (BelTA) – In January 2026, companies of all forms of ownership built 1,500 apartments. A total of 162,400 square meters of the total area of housing were commissioned,
BelTA learned from the Belarusian National Statistical Committee. Belarus commissioned some 55,900 square meters of housing for people registered as in need of better living conditions, which accounted for 34.4% of the total housing commissioned.
Some 31,600 square meters of such housing were subsidized by the government.
As to rural communities, 62,700 square meters of housing were delivered there, or 38.6% of homes commissioned in the country.
