MINSK, 18 November (BelTA) — According to the latest data, Belarus has harvested over 5.119 million tonnes of sugar beet and almost 2.4 million tonnes of grain maize,

Belarusian agricultural industry has threshed more than 5.119 million tonnes of sugar beet, with an average yield of 493 centners per hectare. A total of 103,900 hectares of areas planted to sugar beet were harvested (100% of the harvested area). About 2.4 million tonnes of grain maize with a yield of 78.5 centners per hectare were removed. Maize was harvested on the area of 305,700 hectares (or 100% of the plan).
Belarus has threshed about 10.29 million tonnes of grain, including rapeseed. Minsk Oblast topped the chart with 2,874.4 million tonnes of grain, including rapeseed, harvested. It was followed by Grodno Oblast (with 2,305.9 million tonnes), Brest Oblast (2,078.8 million tonnes), Mogilev Oblast (1,139.1 million tonnes), Gomel Oblast (1,007.1 million tonnes), and Vitebsk Oblast (882,100 tonnes).
The harvesting of grass fodder continues. In total, over 9.5 million tonnes of forage units have been harvested (97.2% of the plan).
Soil tillage is completed on the area of over 1.144 million hectares, or 77,1% of the plan.
