10/09/2025 11:09
MINSK, 10 September (BelTA) – Belarus and Hungary share a broad and promising agenda for deepening their mutually beneficial cooperation. Both nations are committed to open dialogue, including on matters of the highest sensitivity, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus Maksim Ryzhenkov said at the expanded-format talks with Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Peter Szijjarto, BelTA has learned.

The Belarusian foreign minister noted that the parties have developed a good tradition of regular meetings, and the range of topics discussed at them is constantly expanding and now includes not only the bilateral agenda, but also the situation in the region in general and the relationship between the countries, including security issues.

Maksim Ryzhenkov expressed gratitude to his Hungarian counterpart for his steadfast position on regional affairs. “We value your consistent support for tangible projects that genuinely strengthen ties within our region. Hungary upholds peaceful cooperation and the development of mutually beneficial relations, both bilaterally and with the entire European Union. Our doors are always open to our Hungarian partners here at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and in Belarus in general. We are prepared to engage in frank dialogue on even the most sensitive issues, respecting differing perspectives.

“Minsk and Budapest possess significant potential for expanding and deepening their mutually beneficial cooperation across numerous sectors,” emphasized Maksim Ryzhenkov.
