
MINSK, 4 April (BelTA) – Belarus' Council of Ministers passed
Resolution No. 192 on 31 March 2025 to approve the regulation on the
data exchange system on foreign citizens and stateless persons with
Russia. The document was published on the National Legal Internet
Portal, BelTA has learned.
The regulation establishes the principles of functioning of the
data exchange system on border crossings at checkpoints, as well as on
issued, canceled, invalidated and withdrawn identity documents of
foreign citizens and stateless persons staying or residing in the
territory of the Union State member states.
The document reads that the information system is designed to
automate interstate information exchange in electronic form between the
two states.
The data exchange system will help check the validity of identity documents of foreigners, as well as to control the crossing of the Union State border by foreigners with valid entry, exit, residence and transit permits.
