BREST, 4 October (BelTA) – A delegation of Brest Oblast plans to pay a return visit to Ulyanovsk Oblast of Russia, head of the foreign economic relations department of the economy committee of the Brest Oblast Executive Committee Ivan Krasovsky told reporters, BelTA reports.
A Russian delegation led by Ulyanovsk Oblast Governor Alexei Russkikh is on a working trip to Brest Oblast. The delegation met with Brest Oblast Governor Yuri Shuleiko at the Brest Oblast Executive Committee. Representatives of the Russian delegation laid flowers at the Eternal Flame in the Brest Hero-Fortress Memorial Complex and visited the Brestgazoapparat company. The program of the visit also includes a tour to the Kobrin-based enterprise Polesie.
“The visit is in full swing. Today, a lot of issues related to industrial cooperation were discussed. The Russian delegation included representatives of the business community of Ulyanovsk Oblast. In the near future Brest Oblast will also put together a delegation and go to Ulyanovsk Oblast on a return visit. We have common interests in social sphere, tourism, culture. Of course, the delegation will include people who will be in charge of industrial cooperation,” said Ivan Krasovsky. The return visit is tentatively scheduled for mid-October.
The business community of Ulyanovsk Oblast is interested in building contacts with enterprises of Belarus, including Brest Oblast. They came to our country with specific proposals. “We see great potential for cooperation. You have a lot of enterprises that make products containing spring elements. We hope to find partners in Belarus,” said Dimitrovgrad Spring Plant Director Aleksandr Shutz.
Director General of PromServis Yaroslav Minakov said that his company has already found a new partner in Belarus. “We are interested in cooperation with Belarusian enterprises. We have signed an agreement with the Belarusian company KPSR Group. This agreement will enable us to make a full range of regulatory mechanisms for housing and utility services. We are still familiarizing ourselves with Brest Oblast, studying enterprises with which we can potentially collaborate. In particular we have met with colleagues from Polesyeelectromash; casting may be of interest to us. We hope that we will be able to cooperate,” he said.
By the way, a memorandum of understanding and cooperation was signed between the Sports and Tourism Department of the Brest Oblast Executive Committee and the Tourism Agency of Ulyanovsk Oblast. An agreement on strategic cooperation and interaction as part of industrial cooperation and import substitution was also concluded between 558 Aircraft Repair Plant and the Competence Center for Industrial Development. In addition to that, it was suggested stepping up cooperation in patriotic education and exchanging delegations of schoolchildren.
