Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko assured that as the commander-in-chief and the head of state he would do everything for Belarus to live in peace and accord. Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko made the statement as he attended a Christmas service in a temple in the Saint Elisabeth Convent on 7 January.
Aleksandr Lukashenko congratulated everyone on the Orthodox Christmas and wished them well and peace. “I'd like to assure you that as the commander-in-chief and the head of state I will personally do everything for our Belarus to live in peace and accord. I will do everything so that you could spend your days with family in warmth and tranquility and would remember about a great and precious thing called peace,” he said.
