Lukashenko on working trip to Gomel Oblast

VETKA, 28 April (BelTA) - Topical issues related to the development of Gomel Oblast are high on the agenda of Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko's working visit to this Belarusian region on 28 April, BelTA has learned.

“The president is visiting Vetka today. The Chernobyl trip changes its format. The event is going to a large-scale one, including the discussion of the planting campaign, the development of districts and the economy of the region in general,” the Telegram channel Pul Pervogo informed.

The head of state is set to visit Vetka District, one of the districts affected by the Chernobyl accident. Here he will be updated on the progress of the spring field work in the region and in the country in general.

At a local farm Aleksandr Lukashenko will get familiar with the repairs of the melioration network and with the technological process of sowing maize. The president will be shown equipment for agro-industrial enterprises produced and restored in Gomel Oblast.

Then the head of state will host a meeting with the representatives of Gomel Oblast to discuss the most important issues related to the development of the region.
