MINSK, 28 July (BelTA) – Some 533,900 tonnes of winter rapeseed have been threshed in Belarus, the Agriculture and Food Ministry told BelTA.
As of 27 July, cereals and leguminous crops (excluding corn, buckwheat and millet) were harvested from the area of 327,900 hectares, which is 16.6% of the designated area. Some 1.195 million tonnes of grain have been threshed at the average yield of 36.5 centners per hectare.
Winter rapeseed for grain was gathered in from 212,100ha of land or 63.7% of the targeted area, with 533,900 tonnes threshed (the average yield stood at 25.2 centners per hectare).
Flax was pulled from 19,300ha, which is 44.3% of the area under this crop. Cereal and legume straws were harvested from 210,800 hectares, or 64.3%. Belarusian agricultural workers made 376,700 tonnes of hay (39.2% of the target), 8 494,000 tonnes of haylage (62%), including 292,600 tonnes in polymeric packaging, 405,900 tonnes of grain haylage, and 214,300 tonnes of silage (1.12%).
Plans have been made to make a total of 9.6 million tonnes of feed units out of grass this year. So far 28.5% of the targeted amount has been made. Belarusian agricultural workers are supposed to stock up on nearly 19.2 million tonnes of silage, 13.7 million tonnes of haylage (including 1 million tonnes in polymeric packaging), and 962,100 tonnes of hay.
