"The Golden Puck" ice hockey tournament finals will be held in Pruzhany.

3398-shayba "The Golden Puck" ice hockey youth tournament finals for the prize of President of the Republic of Belarus will be held in Pruzhany.

The games among the division "A" teams will take place on March, 16-19, division "B" - on March, 20-22.

From the history of the tournament:

Support of ice hockey in Belarus in all aspects is one of the priorities of the President’s Sports Club. Christmas International Ice Hockey Tournament of Hockey Fans for the prize of President of the Republic of Belarus, International Tournament "Polesie Cup", Minsk Amateur Championship - a list of hockey interests of the club would have been incomplete without the most widespread and large-scale children's hockey tournament.

Since 2006, President’s Sports Club is one of the competition organizers among children and teenagers hockey tournament "Golden Puck" for the prizes of the President of the Republic of Belarus.

Mostly due to this tournament in all parts of the country ice hockey got its popularity. For more than a decade, "Golden Puck" is an essential attribute of sports life in Belarus. A main feature of the competition is the mass participation of school boys and broad representation of all country regions.

Competitions are held among teenagers amateur teams in two age groups (junior and senior) in three stages. I stage (January) - the massive competition in district and town tournaments during the winter season; II phase (February - March) – regions and Minsk city competition; III stage (March) - republican finals between the regional competitions winners. Each team consists of 18 players (16 field players and 2 goalies), 1 coach, and 1 team administrator.

Traditionally the Head of the State establishes team cups, trophies and certificates to award winners in two age groups. Every participant gets its prize in the final tournament: toys (talisman of the tournament), T-shirts with the logo of the tournament and souvenirs from the President’s Sports Club. Also a cultural program is organized for the participants of the tournament "Golden Pack" during the final competition. Boys get familiar with the historical and cultural sights of the host region.

Competitions are held for the mass development and popularization of ice hockey, involvement in classes of children and teenagers, as well as the selection of candidates for future admission to the specialized training and sports establishments, specialized in ice hockey.
