The volume of foreign trade with goods for three quarters of the year 2010 comprised 2219,2 mln.dollars, including export – 1137 mln.dollars, import – 1082,2 mln.dollars. The balance of foreign trade with goods «plus» 54,8 mln.dollars.
The share of Brest region in general volume of export of the Republic of Belarus comprised 6,5%, import – 4,6%.

From the total volume of export in the region the share of Russia is 77,4%, other countries of CIS – 12,6%, countries of EU – 9,1%, other countries– 0,9%. Import from Russia comprises 19,5% from total amount of import , other countries of CIS – 8,3%, countries of EU – 49%, other countries – 23,2%.
In January – September 2010 were registered volumes of export-import operations with 108 countries of the world. The goods were brought to markets of 61 states, were imported goods from 101 countries.
Major trading partners of the region in January – September 2010 were: Russia – 49,2% from the total goods turn over , Germany – 7,3%, Poland – 7%, Ukraine – 5,8%, Italy – 2,9%, China – 2,6%.
In goods structure of export production of livestock sector comprises 31,8%, production of food industry – 17,6%, base metals and goods from them – 10,8%, machinery and equipment – 7,1%, textile and goods form it – 5,8%.
In the structure of import the greatest share make up machinery and equipment– 31,6%, production of livestock – 8,9%, production of chemical industry – 6,0%, base metals and goods from them– 7,5%, plastic and goods from it – 6,7%, production of food industry – 16,2, textile and textile goods – 5,3%, goods of vegetable origin – 5,7%.
Export of services of organizations of Brest region in January-September 2010 comprised 139,7 mln. dollars, or 144.7% to the level of January-September 2009 (the forecast for the year was - 116-117%), import - 67 mln. dollars, or 135,3% (the forecast was - 113-114%). The balance of foreign trade with services was positive at a rate of 72,7 mln. dollars (the forecast was - 80-90 mln. dollars).
