In Brest region the development of the network of the roadside services objects is determined and accomplished in accordance with the "Scheme of complex development of the roadside services objects on the territory of Brest region in 2003-2008" (approved by the Resolution of the executive committee dd 21.04.2003 № 201). The Scheme determined the most acceptable places for the promising arrangement of the roadside services objects in the urban areas and at the highways of the region. Are determined the promising areas of the possible arrangement of petrol stations at the highways, in the cities and the rural settlements of the region.
Regular attention is given to the creation of the infrastructure of roadside services in Brest region, particularly for the purpose of a guarantee of social standards in the agro-towns and an increase of quantity and quality of the services rendered to population and passengers in transit. In this case, the basic trend is the formation of service complexes at the highways of the region which correspond to contemporary requirements. New petrol stations construction projects provide for building up-to-date complexes of road service which shall comprise such objects as as store, caf?, hotel (motel), guarded parking place for the cargo and passenger motor vehicles, maintenance site.
According to the "Plan of the roadside services objects development at the main automobile roads of the Republic of Belarus for years 2006-2007", approved 09.12.2005 by Deputy of Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus Gapeyev V.I., 11 objects (4 objects in 2006) are included into the territory of the region.
Within the year 2006 the Republican unitary enterprise "Belarusnieft-Brestoblnieftieprodukt" (Belarussian Oil Brest Region Oil Products) came into operation after the reconstruction of the petrol stations at the highway: at 124 km (village Sokolovo, Bereza district), at 150 km (Yaglievichy, Ivatsevichy district). Road repair works were accomplished, the first line of the petrol station reconstruction for 11 km (Brest district). Were introduced the first lines of the objects: "Korchma", a service complex at the highway М-1/Е-30, 8 km left, on the territory of Brest district (constructed by the unitary enterprise "Belstroy" (Belarussian Construction)) and "Valentina", a roadside service complex, 137 km right, on the territory of Ivatsevichy district (private unitary enterprise "Valentina and daughters").
In accordance with the approved "Program of petrol stations network development in the Republic of Belarus for the period until the year 2010" 5 petrol stations were put into operation in Brest region in 2006: the towns of Bereza and Stolyn, the village of Motol, Ivatsevichy district (all 3 the republican unitary enterprise "Belarusnieft-Brestoblnieftieprodukt" (Belarussian Oil Brest Region Oil Products), the town of Baranovichy CJSC "Slavnieft-Start", the town of Brest SLC "Gallon".
Republican unitary enterprise "Belarusnieft-Brestoblnieftieprodukt" has developed and been carrying out a range of measures aimed at development of the petrol stations in accordance with modern requirements to service accomplishment. At 16 petrol stations are open shops with free access of visiters, performed current works on installation of comfortable inside public toilet rooms.
In 2004-2005 were constructed new petrol stations in the towns of Pruzhany, Stolyn, in Ivanovo district at 453 km of the highway M-10 and in Luniniets district by the village of Lachva at 419 km of the highway M-10. New petrol stations were put into operation in the town of Bereza and agro-town of Motolsky of Ivanovo district.
Totally in 2006 on the territory of the region were put into operation and recommenced work after reconstruction and repairs 45 objects of roadside services which are petrol stations with car parking places, public catering and trade objects, car washes and maintenance sites, of which:
- 11 - new constructions (2 - non-state form of ownership);
- 8 - reconstruction and repair works (1 - non-state form of ownership);
- 26 - public catering and trade objects, of which:
- 7 - new contructions (2 - non-state form of ownership);
- 19 - reconstruction and repair works (7 - non-state form of ownership), of which are 14 objects of "Brestoblpotriebsoyuz" (Brest regional consumer association).
Besides, 8 foresides of trade objects were repaired, 7 new light sign boards of roadside shops.
In 2006 the Republican unitary enterprise "Brestavtodor" (Brest automobile roads) examined location areas of roadside services objects. For the purpose of improvement of the conditions of their use and safety of the road movement was realized the reconstruction of 5 recreation areas and parking places in the composition of highways with the installation of small architectural forms, the improvement of the territory, piling of tile, borders and new road surface.
In 2006 the regional executive committee made decisions about the preliminary agreement of object location and the assignment of land sections for the building of the units of roadside service, a total of 20 objects.
The town executive committees prepared the materials with the enumeration of areas for the promising arrangement of the objects of roadside services.
In accordance with the Conception of automobile roads crossing points at the State border of the Republic of Belarus infrastructure development until the year 2015, approved by the Decision of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus dd 12.01.2006, №35, and the Complex program of automobile roads crossing points at the State border of the Republic of Belarus infrastructure development for years 2006-2010 in the service zone by the automobile roads crossing point "Pieschatka" of Brest region the insurance companies are assigned with financing the construction of the unified modular complex of the insurance organizations for the care of insurants with the complete improvement and the engineering support. The completion of works on building of the unified module of insurance companies is planned on 20 September, 2007.
